Letter written regarding policy on shielding for paediatric patients

Dear community

We understand there are some difficulties for children with SMA around getting support to shield, therefore alongside community member Irvana, we have written this letter to send to the CEOs of hospitals. Please do let us know your hospital if you are facing issues so we can make sure our letter reaches them.

    This year the Managed Access Agreement for Spinraza and Risdiplam expires. The MAA was put in place five years ago so the pharmaceutical companies could gather more evidence to resubmit to NICE for approval on the NHS with Biogen extending their MAA by a year.
