Tom Herbert from C4’s hit series ‘Fabulous Baker Brothers’ to judge TreatSMA bake off

For the week commencing 18th May 2020 TreatSMA want to see your creative baking skills. Entries will be judged on decoration and the look of the cake when cut. There is also a 3rd category for creativity if you are unable to get traditional ingredients.

Entries will be judged by Tom Herbert from C4’s hit series ‘Fabulous Baker Brothers’ and his family.

The Herbert’s are fifth and sixth generation bakers based in Gloucestershire. Their baking heritage is founded in Hobbs House Bakery, their family bakery established in the 1920s. Tom left school to become a baker and learnt his baking skills as an apprentice and at baking college. With his enthusiasm for baking and real bread Tom went on to bake on the telly. First presenting ‘In Search of the Perfect Loaf’ on the BBC then on to bake with his brother on the hit TV series ‘Fabulous Baker Brothers’ on C4 and Discovery. Tom has founded a social enterprise called The Long Table, their current focus is to work with others to feed vulnerable people across the region during this crisis. Meanwhile his wife Anna heads up the marketing team at Hobbs House Bakery. The younger four Herbert’s are either keen bakers or eager tasters. Either way they’re really looking forward to seeing your incredible bakes, imagining how good they taste and choosing a winner.

To enter, please email the following to TreatSMABakeOff2020@gmail.com
